The Blog Revival Project!

Okay okay, we’ve kind of let this place a quiet death while we’ve working on HRP. Our fault; We’ve been pretty busy these past few months. So, let’s try and bring everyone up to speed on what’s been going on behind-the-scenes here at Alienworks.

Probably the most important news of all: we’ve got a huge amount of the common route outline drafted and ready for writing. It’s only a draft, of course, but we all put a ton of thought into it and pulled a couple all-nighters on some of the scenes (which isn’t easy to do when your group spans time zones). Things are certainly shaping up, and we’ve started writing in earnest. Roughly 10,000 words and counting. I’ll admit, if we had started on the right foot when we started writing back in March we’d be much further along. So it goes. Still, we’ve got a great direction now; we’re not just writing without an end goal in mind.

Oh boy, where do I even begin with the art? We’ve gotten a flood of it since March, and it’s not just the sprite art we’ve been getting from our wonderful Artist_Apprentice. But we’re not letting this stuff out of the bag just yet. You’ll have a wait a few more days for that, when we get around to pushing out our biggest, most important update yet. We might even have a logo!

Mondonater and OneandOnliee have been pumping out conceptual background music for Arrival Studios since Alienworks was first founded. They’ve been dying to sink their teeth into this project, and they’ve created a ton of absolutely amazing songs. The best part though is that you don’t have to wait to check them out! That’s right, Alienworks has its very own soundcloud! Take a look and tell us what you think!

(Oh, and if you have any logo ideas, let us know!)

The blog is obviously in need of an overhaul. We’ll try and get on that as soon as we can so it doesn’t look like too much of a disaster area like it does right now. Mind the mess.

“Oily” is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He’s the mediator of the group: “The Great Compromiser.” Fitting, considering his favorite U.S. History figure is Henry Clay. He just can’t understand why Jackson was such an asshole to his homedog Henry. Again, a gifted writer, though he keeps his past shrouded in a veil of intrigue and lies. We know, Oily. We know everything.
