Meet the team

So right now, we’re in a bit of a transitional period. All of the writers are currently doing write ups for the various concepts we’ve discussed, so for a while at least, it’ll be pretty quiet. Until we choose a concept, that is.

Then we unleash hell.

So to tide you over for now, I figured I’d introduce the team members to y’all, seeing as I never finished those “DevTeam Spotlights”. So here you go, to slake your thirst for all things AlienWorks. The only things more creative than we are, are our nicknames.

WRITING DEPARTMENT

Calistilaigh — “Cali” is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He claims that he simply has a knack for writing, rather than having honed it after years of training. He has an undeniable knack of coming up with disturbingly decent ideas at the last moment. His interests included League of Legends, taking awkwardly angled “selfsie” photos, and generally mucking about on the IRC. I wish I was making this stuff up.
OilySalmon — “Oily” is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He’s the mediator of the group: “The Great Compromiser.” Fitting, considering his favorite U.S. History figure is Henry Clay. He just can’t understand why Jackson was such an asshole to his homedog Henry. Again, a gifted writer, though he keeps his past shrouded in a veil of intrigue and lies. We know, Oily. We know everything.
omgitsomeguy — “Guy”is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He has classes during the week, but is also a CREATIVE WRITING MAJOR. That means he’s already more qualified than most other people here. I wouldn’t lie to you. Anyways, he’s a terrific guy who makes every meeting count, and is really dedicated to ensuring that he gets stuff done, despite his busy personal life.
Rific — Rific is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He’s not beyond goofing around like the rest of us are, but when he comes in, he gets something done. Arguably the most focused member on the DevTeam, so we don’t like him very much. He’s different! All kidding aside, however, Rific is well-loved, and his concentration and general drive towards completion is consistently refreshing.
TonyTwoFingers — “Tony” is me. I am also the project’s director, so if you ever have any complaints, I’ll address them, by promptly passing them on to Rific to read aloud for the group. I am currently enrolled in a liberal arts program at university. Yuk it up. I know. Liberal arts. Maybe one day I’ll clear your plate for you.
MUSIC DEPARTMENT

Kayy- — “K”, or “Kistol”, is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He’s a talented musician, despite his assurances of the contrary. His days are spent studying music theory, eating microwaveable food stuffs, and lurking on the IRC. He has given me permission to link this work in progress, so be impressed, okay? Also, turn your volume up, K has issues with volume. Silhouettes, by Kayy-.
Mondonater — “Mondo” is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He has a penchant for writing electronic music, which he frequently posts on his Soundcloud (at this point, I am not at liberty to disclose his Soundcloud. And by that, I mean I haven’t asked yet). Currently lurking in the shadows of AlienWorks, he patiently awaits for the writing department to get off their collectively lazy ass and write something, so that he can get to work!
Oneandonliee — “Onliee” is one of the original members of the DevTeam. The origin of his name is, as of now, unknown – although it is largely speculated that he either cannot spell “only”, or is a one-year-old who misspelled “online”. Kayy- touts him as a piano prodigy, which is not something many people in the DevTeam would try and dispute. He frequently covers music from the Touhou project, much to everyone’s listening pleasure.
ART DEPARTMENT

Artist_Apprentice — “A_A” is a recent addition to the DevTeam. His artwork is born from a unique form of training – he accepts open requests for art pieces from members of /r/awwnime. This makes him the most popular person on the DevTeam. Regardless of his popularity, he is considerably talented, being able to draw up entire character concepts in one night alone. His signature “thing” is cat faces, which he frequently uses to humorously sketch the events of the IRC. He has given me permission to link some of his artwork, so hold on to your pants (ladies, you particularly).
PROGRAMMING DEPARTMENT

ThatOnePerson — “TOP” is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He is always on the IRC. Always. Even when he’s not. Which is never. He is truly the “Stig” of the group, as many of his life details are unknown, even to myself. He is a tech wizard, and is beyond charitable to the DevTeam, even offering to start up a website for the project on his own dime. One of the few things we know about him is that he has over 110 days of music from the Touhou project on his computer. I have just over one day of music, of a wide variety of music. Just goes to show how much he loves the stuff.
FruityRed — “Red” is one of the original members of the DevTeam. He’s currently awaiting for the project to kick into high gear, as there is fairly little need for a team of programmers this early in development. Let’s be real. He’s a great guy though, and we all appreciate his help whenever he’s around.
HONORABLE MENTIONS

Cuzucant — “Cuz” was one of the earliest members of the DevTeam, before he began development on his own project. I’m not at liberty to discuss additional information about his project right now, but we wish him the best of luck. He was a member of the writing department.
Raithfyre — “Raith” was one of the earliest members of the DevTeam, before joining Cuzucant on his independent project. He was a positive presence in the IRC, and has an ongoing correspondance with me. He was a member of the writing department.
Juubees — Juubees was one of the earliest members of the DevTeam, before joining Cuzucant on his independent project. He was a member of the writing department.
AngryPeanut A member of the community who occasionally drops by the IRC. Lovely guy. I’d buy him a drink. Well, maybe. Drinks are pricey these days.
